Program in Biomolecular Imaging and Biophysics
This program is one of ten School of Medicine biomedical science Ph.D. programs that participate in the Indiana University School of Medicine BioMedical Gateway (IBMG) Program.
This interdisciplinary program offers graduate research training that leads to the Ph.D. in Biomolecular Imaging and Biophysics. Our program is designed to train talented students in the use of imaging techniques to study biological processes from the molecular level to the whole organism.
The curriculum consists of core courses in the fundamentals of biomedical sciences that are common to all the IBMG programs. The core courses are complemented by program specific courses that emphasize the physical basis of cell and molecular imaging. The interdisciplinary nature of the program allows students to choose from faculty research mentors in a variety of departments in the School of Medicine and other schools on the Indianapolis campus.
Our faculty members have a wide range of expertise in applying imaging techniques to research in the biomedical and physical sciences.
